MPA Series
ILLUMINATED PUSH SWITCH

Universal is committed to offering cost-effective solutions to the flight training industry. We designed our most recent offering - the MPA Series(TM) illuminated push switch - to represent faithfully, the switches found in Boeing overhead panels.

The MPA Series switches have two illuminated legends and a spring-loaded shutter, which opens and closes to indicate up to four different operational conditions.

LED lighting eliminates hot, incandescent lamps that often require replacement.

The 1 inch molded thermoplastic housing makes installation simple.

The terminal module has been fitted with poke-home receptacles. Just insert the included crimp pins for termination.

Installation Straight Forward & User Friendly

 

STEP 1: Slide switch into base plate until flanged portion of switch rests firmly against plate.

STEP 2: Working from the rear, slide Stop Rails (not shown in diagram-but shown further down) onto switch and fastened with small screws (included). This firmly seats the switch and prevents any sliding or re-positioning of switch.

STEP 3: Insert terminal pins (NAS561C3-10 included) into terminal block of switch.

STEP 4: Connect the proper power source for your panel illumination.

STEP 5: Seat the instrument panel onto the base plate and attach with screws.

STEP 6: Attach panel / switch assembly into overhead panel and attach with DZUS screws.

The MPA Series switch is comprised of over (15) internal, and (5) external, individual parts. The molded capsule interfaces with the switch housing to complete the unit.
